We are grateful to God for a good annual general and representative meeting on
Monday, March 28, 2005, in which we handled our usual business of receiving
reports and approving a budget. We also elected new officers for the next three
years, including a board of directors and church council, being 37 persons, and
a new bishop, Rev. Dr. Nicholas Tai, and an associate bishop, Rev. Jenny Chan.

While we formerly used the title president, the Church Council voted, on the
recommendation of the Ministerium, to change the English title to bishop for the
sake of communicating to other churches a clearer understanding of the role of
the ELCHK president, effective July 1, 2005.
